From a basic three-blade in the den to a remote-controlled fan over a 14-foot vaulted ceiling — we install it tight, balance it, and leave you with a fan that doesn't wobble or hum.
Most ceiling-fan installs we do are replacements — there was already a fan or light fixture there, and you bought a new fan. Easy job, usually about an hour, sometimes two if the existing box isn't fan-rated.
The catch is the existing box. A regular light-fixture electrical box isn't built to support the weight of a fan or the side-to-side motion when it spins. If the previous installer used the wrong box, your fan will wobble, hum, or eventually fall. We check the box first. If it's wrong, we replace it. If you're putting a fan where there used to be just a light, the box almost certainly needs to be swapped.
On vaulted ceilings, sloped ceilings, or ceilings higher than ten feet, things get more involved — we may need to add a downrod, modify the fan-mount adapter, or work from a ladder higher than most homeowners want to climb. We bring the ladder.
Smart fans, remote-controlled fans, app-controlled fans — most of them work fine if they're wired correctly. The remote-control modules need a neutral wire in the wall switch box, which a lot of older Atlanta homes don't have. We'll let you know up front if we need to run a neutral or use a different switch type.
You supply. We don't mark up hardware — buy whatever you want at any retailer, and we'll install it. If you want a recommendation for your room size or ceiling type, we're happy to give you one before you buy.
Typical replacement: about an hour. New install (no fan there before): one and a half to two hours. Vaulted or high ceilings: two to three hours. We'll give you a real time estimate before we start.
Almost always one of three things: wrong electrical box (not fan-rated), unbalanced blades, or loose mounting. We can usually tell which one within a minute or two of looking. Sometimes it's an easy fix; sometimes it's a box swap.
Tell us about the job. We'll get back to you with a written estimate — no obligation, no upsell.
